Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information ScopeGoat collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. Short version: we collect what we need to run the service, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it any time.

1. What we collect

Account information: your name and email address. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never visible to us.

Content you create: estimates, tasks, phases, notes, and any other data you enter into ScopeGoat. This belongs to you.

Usage data: basic logs of when you log in and use the service. We don't track individual clicks or build behavioral profiles.

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the service
  • Send you account-related emails (invitations, password resets)
  • Respond to support requests
  • Understand how the service is being used so we can improve it

We don't use your data to train AI models, sell to advertisers, or share with third parties beyond what's needed to run the service.

3. Third-party services

ScopeGoat is built on a small number of third-party services:

  • Supabase — database and authentication. Data is stored in their infrastructure.
  • Vercel — hosting and deployment.
  • Stripe — payment processing for paid plans. Stripe handles your card details directly; we never see or store them ourselves, only your subscription status.

All are reputable infrastructure providers with their own privacy policies. We've configured them to handle your data with appropriate care.

4. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal information immediately. Content associated with shared estimates may be retained for the workspace's records.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information
  • Ask us to delete your account and personal data

To exercise any of these, use the contact form. We'll respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

ScopeGoat uses a small number of cookies strictly necessary to run the service: an authentication session cookie and a theme preference cookie. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll notify you by email before the changes take effect.
