Terms of Service

1. The service

ScopeGoat is a web-based tool for creating and managing project estimates. We provide it as-is and make reasonable efforts to keep it available and accurate, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access or that it will meet every specific business need.

2. Your account

Accounts are currently created by invitation only. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

3. Your data

You own the estimates, tasks, and other content you create in ScopeGoat. We don't use your data for any purpose other than operating the service. We don't sell it to anyone.

You can request an export or deletion of your data at any time by reaching out via the contact form.

4. Acceptable use

Use ScopeGoat for legitimate project estimation and planning. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer the service, access other users' data, or use it in any way that could harm us or other users.

5. Paid plans

ScopeGoat offers a free plan and paid Studio and Agency plans, billed monthly or annually. See our pricing page for current plans and limits. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel or change plans at any time from Settings → Billing, and changes take effect immediately with prorated charges as needed. We don't delete any of your data when you downgrade or cancel.

6. Termination

You can stop using ScopeGoat at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account without cause, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

7. Liability

ScopeGoat is provided "as is." We're not liable for lost data, missed deadlines, or business losses resulting from use of the service. Our total liability in any situation is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know by email. Continued use of ScopeGoat after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
